SGAI is finally ready for launch
Are you one of those brave CBSE students who have decided to give the Class X
board exams a miss and go along with CBSE's new reforms, which involve a system
of continuous and comprehensive evaluation all year long? If so, you're probably
wondering which stream to pick in junior college, a decision usually based on
one's score in the board exams.
In a bid to help students figure out where they are headed in the absence of
board exams, the CBSE board launched its Students Global Aptitude Index (SGAI)—a
battery of aptitude tests meant to gauge both aptitude and interest in various
subjects—earlier this week. A circular released by the CBSE board earlier this
week, the SGAI is finally ready for launch after a rigorous process of
standardisation. The aptitude tests are optional, and are on offer for Rs 100.
