Andhra Pradesh Board Of secondary Education is the Authority which conducts the secondary school public examination to the candidates of the state of Andhra Pradesh, through it's affiliated schools. The board was established in 1953 to improve education level of Andhra Pradesh State. It is the part of the State department of Education.

- To grant recognition to aspiring school.
- To define courses and text books for High school and Intermediate level.
- To conduct High school and Intermediate Examination.
- To provide equivalence to the examinations conducted by other Boards.
